vial.inspect is a modular inspection system for the automated inline inspection of vials in pharmaceutical filling and closing processes.

Depending on the application, different inspection stations can be combined:

Inspecting ampoules after sealing

ampoule.inspect inspects ISO ampoules immediately after sealing and cooling. This allows relevant deviations to be detected before the ampoules are processed further or packaged.

Typical Inspection Tasks in Pharmaceutical Production

Presence and Completeness Inspection

The machine vision system checks whether all required product, closure and packaging components are present and arranged correctly for the respective product variant.

 

Geometry and Dimensional Inspection

Diameters, distances, contours, heights and other geometrical characteristics are measured without contact and compared with defined tolerances.

Surface and Defect Inspection

Depending on the application, camera systems detect scratches, cracks, chips, deformations, glass defects, contamination and other visible deviations.

Closure Inspection

Stoppers, crimp caps, flip-off caps and other closure components are inspected for presence, position, fit, shape and visible damage.

Print, OCR and OCV Inspection
