ampoule.inspect checks ISO ampoules immediately after sealing and cooling. The system detects shape defects, open or incompletely sealed ampoules, pointed or broken tips, and visible blackening caused by the sealing process.
Designed for integration into pharmaceutical filling and sealing machines, the inspection system supports ISO ampoule formats from 1 to 20 ml and speeds of up to 600 ampoules per minute. Camera, lighting and inspection settings are adapted to the ampoule format and inspection requirements.

ampoule.inspect inspects ISO ampoules for typical defects immediately after sealing, directly during the production process. Depending on the application, the camera, lighting, inspection program, and installation configuration are tailored to the ampoule format, machine cycle time, and inspection objectives.
Detection of ampoules whose shape deviates from the acceptable standard after sealing.
Inspection for collapsed or deformed areas that may indicate process defects.
Verification that the ampoule has been properly sealed.
Detection of damaged areas on ampoules that may pose a risk in subsequent processes.
Identification of visually conspicuous ampoules that have been compromised by the sealing process.
ampoule.inspect is designed to fit the pharmaceutical production environment and is integrated into filling and sealing machines. In doing so, OCTUM takes into account the inspection position, machine cycle time, ampoule format, camera and lighting configuration, installation conditions, operation, and format adaptation.
As a system integrator, OCTUM considers not only the individual camera or inspection function, but the complete inspection system within the actual production process. This results in a solution that supports high cycle rates, delivers reproducible results, and can be adapted to different ISO ampoule formats.
In pharmaceutical manufacturing, inspection systems must be able to perform reliable checks while also being integrated into documented quality processes. Depending on the application, inspection results, user actions, changes, and relevant process data can be documented in a traceable manner and linked to higher-level systems.
OCTUM develops inspection solutions for production environments with high demands on quality, process reliability, and traceability. In doing so, software, user interface design, data connectivity, and validatability are already incorporated into the system design.
Would you like to automatically inspect ISO ampoules after sealing? Contact OCTUM to discuss ampoule format, inspection criteria, machine cycle time, installation requirements, and documentation or data integration needs.
